Away from ITV's This Morning, Holly Willoughby is an ambassador for brands such as Marks and Spencer and Garnier. But in April the 42-year-old has been signed up by another major beauty brand - which sells luxury make-up items at high street prices.
Appearing on Instagram, Holly, who is known for her ageless skin and fresh-face, announced that she has curated her very own 'Holly-Day' Edit with the brand that's perfect for a fresh-faced glowy look for the sunny summer evenings and I was lucky enough to try it.
The kit includes a Deluxe Eyeshadow Quad in Smoky Rose, Supercheek Blush in Gleam Me Up, a Shine Up Lip Balm in Hello Petal and The Perfect Waterproof Mascara in a clear-zip-around travel case in a new bronze. The products are sourced from deluxe suppliers in Italy but luckily for brand members they're available at high street prices.
As someone who usually struggles with makeup sets as the shades don't always complement my skin tone I was a little apprehensive, but I couldn't have been more impressed.
As I've recently had a breakout I did my classic base makeup on my skin, I always start with Superluminous™ Under-eye Genius from Beauty Pie to begin with and follow it up with Fenty Beauty PRO FILT'R Soft Matte Longwear Foundation and Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Concealer.
I've always been a fan of a dewy and fresh faced look with highlighter being one of my favourite items but I decided to stick to the items in the set to complete the look. I absolutely loved the shades in the eyeshadow quad, they're warm with a sparkly finish which I think really livened my eyes up.
They go on like butter with a rich formula that I was immediately impressed with and they blend perfectly. While I do have multiple palettes at home I love a good eyeshadow quad as it has everything you need for a solid eye look and it's much easier to travel with.
I finished it with the waterproof mascara and it didn't budge at all. Even with a strong breeze making my eyes water there was no running mascara lines down my cheeks.
I was a little bit nervous about the blush with it not being a formula I'm used to, it was almost glossy in its application. But it went on like a treat and blended out perfectly; I always like to place blush on my cheeks and nose for a sunkissed look and it was really achieved with this. There's plenty of pigment without risk of veering into clownish overload and the formula leaves a dewy finish that meant I didn't even miss my highlighter.
The balm is really pigmented and while it's a little more pink than I'd usually go for it felt incredible on my lips and was really easy to apply. With a pointed tip you can line your lips and then fill them out all with one product, I can see this being a really popular option and it's great for when you're on the move.
I think Beauty Pie and Holly have knocked it out of the park with the Holly Day Edit, it's easy everyday makeup and more to the point you can get it through the airport without worrying that you've ran out of liquid space making it a perfect holiday kit. I'll be using the eye shadows and blush year round with the colours really working with my skin.
The Beauty Pie X Holly Willoughby Beauty bag has also had high praise from customers who have tried it. Giving the beauty bag five stars, one person wrote: "So, so impressed with this kit."
Another said: "What a lovely bundle to receive, gorgeous products and a great make up bag. I particularly loved the lip colour as it’s something I would never have chosen but it really suits me!"
"The products are definitely good quality p, the blusher is so smooth it goes on like a cream. Eye palette wasn’t the normal shades I go for but glad I did. Lipstick is a colour you can use during the day or evenings just layer it. Mascara is definitely waterproof in that I had trouble removing it but nonetheless it went on well and didn’t clog," wrote somebody else.
Another five-star reviewer praised: "I love the see through make up bag it’s a good size. The mascara is perfect, volumising not clumpy, and doesn’t irritate my eyes. The colours of the eyeshadows are very natural, yet noticeable. The lip colour is moisturising and a great shade, again naturally beautiful. My favourite thing is the blush, creamy on my skin, great colour, blends really well using a brush."
"I have genuinely loved everything in this kit. Wow. I wasn't planning on buying it, but Holly's videos convinced me and I have not been disappointed. A great capsule collection for a fresh summer look!" wrote somebody else.
Yet another Holly fan said: " bought this after watching Holly show the products on her Instagram. They're all easy to use and gorgeous. I especially love the cream blush and it feels lovely on my skin."
Speaking about the budget beauty range, Holly said: “I’ve been using Beauty Pie products for years and was thrilled to be given the opportunity to curate my very own make-up edit. When curating my kit, I wanted to include a selection of makeup essentials that I reach for most in the summer. For me, summer is all about enhancing your natural healthy glow and using products that give you a fresh, bright eyed and dewy complexion.
"Beauty Pie’s textures and shades are utterly gorgeous, and their creamy and buttery Supercheek Blush in Gleam Me Up has become one of my firm favourites.”
