Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield spill secrets on ITV This Morning's Christmas party as stars gatecrash event

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield appeared fresh faced on This Morning today (December 7) despite attending their annual Christmas party yesterday. The TV presenters were back at the helm of the ITV show on Wednesday to discuss all things current affairs, celebrity news and welcome a range of guests onto their sofa.

But before the show kicked off, the co-hosts addressed their Xmas bash which left some of the This Morning team 'on the floor'. Holly, 41, and Phil, 60, spent the afternoon at a pub alongside their fellow colleagues such as Alison Hammond, Rochelle Humes, Dermot O'Leary and Nik and Eva Speakman.

Various videos shared on each of the presenters' Instagram accounts showed the celebs singing and dancing along to Christmas songs whilst enjoying festive tipples, and it transpired that some had a little too much fun.

Speaking to viewers, Phil said: "We've got another festive packed show for you today. Actually we're feeling alright."

Holly then added: "But not all members of the team are feeling alright this morning let me tell you."

Phil continued: "I don't know whether we should name names...", before Holly interrupted with "Ellie."

Phil added: "Who ended up on Alice Beer's utility room floor with Emma, our deputy editor."

"The flag was well and truly flown at the Christmas party yesterday," Holly said, "they blew all the doors off and the wheels."

"I mean the team have worked incredibly hard and did deserve a bit of a break," added Phil.

Phil and Holly then revealed that some special guests gatecrashed the party.

This Morning's festive Christmas lunch was hosted at James Blunt's pub - The Fox and Pheasant in London - and the singer himself made a surprise appearance.

They then revealed that another famous face, Virgin Radio presenter Chris Evans, also gatecrashed the This Morning festivities.

This Morning stars such as Alison Hammond shared insights into the Christmas bash on Instagram as she posed for selfies with Holly and Phil.

A video posted by Alison also showed the team such as Dermot O'Leary and Rochelle Humes boogieing to 'All I want for Christmas is you' by Mariah Carey.
