Holly Willoughby appeared to be in very bright form on Thursday's show following a tough few weeks.
Despite the ongoing controversy surrounding Philip Schofield's affair and his subsequent exit from ITV, Holly was allowed herself a laugh as she presented beside Craig Doyle on the flagship morning programme.
Holly dropped an X-rated joke as she sat on the couch with her new colleague. During the show, co-host Craig said he was excited to be heading back to Ireland this weekend to be reunited with his four-legged companion.
He admitted: "We all get giddy about seeing the dog."
To which Holly replied: "Well, your dog does particularly love you. Look at this greeting Craig's dog gave him when he come home," as she proceeded to air a clip of Craig's pooch jumping into his arms with the soundtrack of Donny Osmond's Puppy Love.
"If I could jump on him I would, it's just easier the other way around," Craig quipped when Holly added: "It's just the sweetest thing. Look at the tail!
"I think if you had a tail, you'd be wagging."
Craig cheekily replied: "My tail is wagging", before the pair burst into fits of laughter and Holly gave Craig a slap on the arm, adding: "Well, there you go. That's a very happy dog."
Those watching appeared to enjoy the light-hearted moment between the pair, which comes as we reported previously that This Morning viewers are very keen on seeing 52-year-old Craig become a permanent replacement.
One person wrote: "Love Holly and Craig...am I the only one seeing the chemistry," whilst someone else added: "Holly to Craig: 'if you had a tail, you would wag it'… eh… You don’t know, he might already be able to do it."
Someone else wrote: "Holly having a laugh with Craig, I love it!"
Meanwhile, Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary will return for Friday's This Morning show tomorrow while Holly begins her three-day weekend.
