Holly Willoughby addresses future as she seeks 'love and joy' amid 'rift' with Phillip Schofield

Holly Willoughby has addressed her future as she shared some words of advice she received from a friend. The This Morning presenter is currently hitting the headlines as her relationship with co-host Phillip Schofield is reportedly under strain.

The presenting duo, who have fronted the show together for 14 years, are reportedly 'barely speaking' behind the scenes. But, Holly, 42, and Phillip, 61, put on a united front as they were seen together for the first time on the ITV daytime show on Monday (May 15) for the first time since the latter issued a statement on their friendship.

Phillip told The Sun: "As I have said before, Holly is my rock. We’re the best of friends – as always, she is an incredible support on screen, behind the scenes and on the phone. Holly has always been there for me, through thick and thin. And I’ve been there for her." Phillip added: "The last few weeks haven’t been easy for either of us."

But for the first time since being the centre of the drama, Holly has put pen to paper and shared her latest newsletter with subscribers of Wylde Moon. The blonde beauty launched the lifestyle brand, which explores topics from "beauty and fashion to energy and healing" but also features its own boutique, back in 2021.

And as part of her business, Holly sends out weekly newsletters where she sits down and pens a message to her subscribers and also writes an online journal. In Monday's email, the mum-of-three shared her thoughts on the passage of time as she struggled to believe we were already mid-way through May.

"The older I get, the more I appreciate how daunting the concept of time passing can be," she typed in her newsletter. "I can always remember my nan saying things like ‘wait ‘til you get to my age…then it really starts flying by’– and I now I really get it. If this resonates with you, I wanted to share some advice one of my friends gave me when we were talking about this exact thing.

"She told me that instead of worrying how quickly it’s going, we should look at things differently and appreciate that with every moment (big or small) that passes, we're creating a future filled with joy, love, and endless possibility. If we can remember to reflect on just how lucky we are to be making all these memories, the passage of time can feel really positive. It’s a bit like that old saying, 'Time is a luxury that the wise appreciate'."

Addressing her new regime which she teased fans with last week on Instagram, Holly added: "In honour of cherishing the smaller moments, I wanted to thank everyone who’s contacted me about my ‘proper' trial of cold water exposure from last week’s newsletter. It certainly is a step up from my 30 second cold showers but with your encouragement, I’ve been in again this week…so thank you for that!"

In a video shared with her millions of followers, Holly could be seen in the backyard of her London abode - which she shares with her husband Dan Baldwin and their three children - and was seen stepping into a spine-tingling ice bath. Holly appeared in a gorgeous floral swimsuit, and warming bobble hat, as she lifted the lid on the freezing bath before gritting her teeth and stepping in.

She then submerged her body - up to her shoulders - in the chilly water as her children's hands were seen popping into the shot as they tested the temperature of the bath. Holly breathed and grinned her way through her brief time in the ice bath before jumping back out.

Writing to her millions of followers, Holly, 42, captioned the video: "Right let’s begin this icy journey!" She then explained: "After working with Wim Hof and the whole Freeze the Fear team, it’s taken a year, but I’m finally doing it for you…"

She was referring to the fact that last year she teamed up with the Dutch motivational speaker and extreme athlete, known as The Iceman, for the BBC One show alongside co-host Lee Mack to test a group of celebrities as they undertook icy challenges with the support of Wim.
