Holly Shand’s FPL tips for Gameweek 20 sees the respected judge highlight her best attacking differentials to add to your squads with another busy month on the horizon.
As we head into 2025, the FPL template has been shaken up with Wolves striker Matheus Cunha suspended, while Chelsea and Manchester United falter for form.
With that in mindm, I’ve got my latest set of FPL tips to look out for – this week focusing on who are the best attacking differentials to target for Gameweek 20?
FPL Tips – Best Attacking Differentials For Gameweek 20
Jacob Murphy vs Tottenham Hotspur (A)
Newcastle United are an important attack to double up on.
The Magpies have won all of their last four games, scoring 13 goals in this time and keeping clean sheets in all of those games.
Alexander Isak is the most owned forward in the game and so adding a second attacker becomes a key differential move.
Jacob Murphy appears to have made the right wing spot his own, starting the last six games in that position and racking up three goals and four assists in this period.
He is prone to an early substitution, but has played 77 and 84 minutes in the last two league games, during this congested spell of football fixtures.
He is budget friendly at £4.1 million and in just 4% of sides, with my planned move to bring him in this week for Enzo Fernandez.
The Magpies have an appealing run of fixtures over the next four, including facing a struggling Spurs defence next who could be without a recognised centre-back for this game.
Cody Gakpo vs Manchester United (H)
Liverpool’s attack is another one that continues to purr, scoring 16 goals in the last four gameweeks alone.
Most managers now own Mohamed Salah and opt to captain him every week and so again, to play differential, doubling up on this red-hot Liverpool attack could be the way forward.
Cody Gakpo appears to be Arne Slot’s first choice on the left wing. He’s listed as a £7.3 million forward in the game, sitting in around 6% of teams.
He has produced three goals and one assist in the last four gameweeks but can be prone to an early substitution around the 65 minute mark.
Gakpo’s underlying numbers are equally compelling, with three big chances on goal and seven key passes in this spell.
Liverpool face a Manchester United defence who have conceded in six consecutive league games, with Liverpool the 3-0 victors in the reverse fixture back in Gameweek 3.
Alex Iwobi vs Ipswich Town (H)
Fulham start the New Year unbeaten in their last seven league games, scoring 11 goals in this period.
On Sunday they face relegation candidates Ipswich Town at home, having drawn 1-1 against them earlier this season.
The Tractor Boys have conceded in seven consecutive away league games.
Winger Alex Iwobi remains Fulham’s top performing fantasy asset this season, with the under 8% owned midfielder racking up five goals and three assists from 19 starts.
Blanks in the last five gameweeks is somewhat of a concern, but he has produced 11 shots and nine key passes in this time. Fulham’s attractive fixtures continue beyond this week.
They face West Ham, Leicester City and Manchester United in the next three gameweeks, who are all sides shipping a significant number of goals in their recent games.
