"We were talking about I'm A Celeb at the beginning of the show today but it's been reported by multiple news organisations that the Tory MP and former health secretary Matt Hancock will be heading to the I'm A Celebrity jungle." A clip then played of Mr Hancock walking towards 10 Downing Street, as Holly jokingly asked: "Is he going there now?" before Phillip and the rest of the crew laughed.
She added: "He's got a long walk [but] he might get there by Sunday". Phillip said: "He's not dressed for it, he doesn't need that briefcase."
After it was revealed Matt Hancock had reportedly signed up to join the 2022 series of I'm A Celebrity, it was announced he had his Tory whip suspended with immediate effect. Mr Hancock is now expected to swap representing his constituents at Westminster for eating bugs in the Australian jungle.
