Cody Gakpo's time with the Netherlands squad cut short by 'chicken curry'
Cody Gakpo is one of five players sent home from the Netherlands squad after a virus has been making its way through the camp, and the cause may now have been found.
The Dutch FA confirmed the release of Gakpo alongside Sven Botman, Matthijs de Ligt, Bart Verbruggen and Joey Veerman are the other players removed from the squad.

It has now been reported that there is a 'strong belief' that a chicken curry served on Wednesday night is reason for the five players being sent home ill.

Ibrahima Konate is determined to have a long career at Liverpool despite admitting this season has proven "complicated" for Jurgen Klopp's side.
Konate, who has become a key player for the Reds since arriving from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2021, is currently with France preparing for their Euro 2024 qualifiers against Holland on Friday and the Republic of Ireland on Monday.
