People escaping this week's bleak weather forecast in Ireland may want to check the conditions in their chosen holiday destination ahead of time.
Temperatures are expected to drop to a surprising low of minus 2 degrees here later tonight. People heading off on breaks to Europe are set to escape this cold blast but it's worth double checking if your country of travel will experience any sudden weather changes.

Here is what to expect when embarking on a trip to the below destinations.
Gran Canaria
Tourists can expect to bask in much warmer climates if they're heading to this hotspot. It is currently 21 degrees in Gran Canaria, with a combination of sunshine and cloud throughout the day.
People travelling to the spot later this week can enjoy even better conditions as sunshine will dominate the forecast. Temperatures from Thursday through to Sunday will hover around the 25 degree mark.
Albufeira
This Portuguese city also proves immensely popular as a holiday resort. People heading off in the next few days can expect unbridled sunshine but the forecast suggests it will become more overcast from Thursday onwards.
Friday in particular looks set to be very cloudy, although temperatures will still hit highs of 26 degrees. Sunnier conditions will set in again on Saturday, welcome news for those heading to the area over the weekend.
Ibiza
The Spanish island will experience a mixture of sunny spells and cloudy intervals this week. Its ever changing weather is at its most favourable on Wednesday, with sunshine and highs of 23 degrees.
It will become overcast on Thursday evening, with similar conditions expected for the following few days. However, temperatures will reach highs of 27 degrees on both Friday and Saturday despite the dull weather.
