Shrek The Musical is returning to Liverpool later this year bringing along the most beloved characters from the Oscar-winning film.
The stage show will spend three days at the Liverpool Empire at the start of December.
"Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek…" launches the tale of an unlikely hero, who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue.

Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a biscuit with an attitude and more than a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got an all-singing, all-dancing musical comedy.
Shrek The Musical is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure, featuring all new songs from Jeanine Tesori and a side-splitting book by David Lindsay-Abaire.
With fabulous costumes, scenery and puppets, including a fire-breathing dragon, the production is perfect for the whole family.
The amateur production by BOST Musicals is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International (Europe).
Shrek The Musical runs at the Liverpool Empire Theatre from Thursday, December 1 to Saturday, December 3, 2022.
