Hit pasta pop-up Pasta Slut unveils tickets and first menu for Manchester dates

Hit pasta pop-up kitchen Pasta Slut has released ticket details and the first menu for its upcoming Manchester residency. It’ll be taking over Northern Quarter dessert bar Black Milk for two events on April 27.

Having proved a wild success in London, Margate, Bristol and Liverpool, chef Hayley Meredith will be bringing the Pasta Slut concept to Manchester. The first Manchester date will be split into two sittings, the first from 6pm, the second from 8.30pm.

To start will be burrata with broad beans, peas, fried black olives and rosemary focaccia, followed by the main course - a baked sharing dish of anelletti al forno alla Palermitana. This is layers and layers of ring-shaped pasta with a beef and pork ragu, which is then baked like a lasagna.

It’s then finished with béchamel sauce, fried aubergine, parmesan and mozzarella, topped with fried garlic breadcrumbs. It’s a typical Sicilian dish, originating from Palermo.

For dessert is a pistachio tiramisu, the classic Italian dessert being something of a specialist subject for the Pasta Slut events. Self-taught chef Meredith started the business in 2017, cooking dishes inspired by her Sicilian heritage.

Tickets will go on sale at 9am on April 11, at £35 per head. A second Manchester event will be happening at the Stretford Canteen with a rescheduled date of May 7.
