'Hit and miss' - Mark Lawrenson delivers verdict ahead of Crystal Palace's trip to West Ham

Pundit Mark Lawrenson has labelled Crystal Palace as 'a bit hit and miss' ahead of their trip to take on West Ham United at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The two sides have both enjoyed strong home form this term with all four of Palace's wins in the Premier League this term coming at Selhurst Park whilst the Hammers have won their last six matches at the London Stadium across all competitions.

Patrick Vieira's side extended that feat last weekend when beating Southampton 1-0 thanks to a first-half goal from Odsonne Edouard but will be wary that they've taken just three points on the road so far this campaign.

As for their hosts, David Moyes' side did play in Romania as recently as Thursday when beating FCSB 3-0, however, the Scotsman made a handful of changes and should subsequently have a fresh line-up available to take on the Eagles.

With Palace nervy travellers and the Hammers turning the London Stadium into a fortress, it looks as though there is one clear favourite with Lawrenson predicting a 2-1 defeat for the south London outfit.

"West Ham were a little bit unlucky at Old Trafford but I think they went for it too late," the former Liverpool defender said in his column with Paddy Power. "They’re starting to pick up and Crystal Palace are a bit hit and miss. West Ham 2-1 Crystal Palace."
