A celebrates her 100th birthday next month - reaching the same milestone as the Nan she was named after.
Isabella Slater will turn 100 on October 25, following in the footsteps of her Grandma, also named Isabella Slater.
Isabella attended the 100th birthday celebrations of her Grandma at the Salvation Army Eventide Home in Allerton, back on January 13 in 1949.
The milestone was recorded in the Liverpool Echo in 1949 with the then Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress in attendance.
Isabella's family lived in Liverpool for many years but were originally from Glasgow and Aberdeen.
They moved south to work in the shipping trade and Isabella currently lives in Romford, Essex.
Her Grandma lived in Liverpool for 67 years, feeling most at home in the city.
Her cousin, Stephen Stewart, marvelled at the nature of history repeating itself.
He told the ECHO: "I thought it somewhat unusual for two family members with Liverpool connections, both called Isabella, to reach 100, with both receiving - hopefully - Royal greetings, one from a King and the other from a Queen.
"Isabella's own mother nearly made the century mark as well, but sadly passed away at the age of 97."
Of Isabella, he said: "She's an incredibly determined and independent lady, she's been incredibly healthy throughout her life - she did have a fall very recently which knocked her back a bit but she's made good progress.
"I would say she's had an amazing life - she worked for the Civil Service in London until she retired when she was 56. Then she spent the rest of her time looking after her mother until her mother died in 1989.

"When she turned 70, she went out to see the world and went on all these cruises and bus tours around Europe.
"She's very independent - she just decided to see the world at the age of 70.
"But she's been going out a lot less in the last ten years or so."
Stephen met Isabella around 13 years ago and the pair have since made the effort to see one another regularly.
Stephen added: "I only really met her about 13 years ago when my mother died - so I made contact with Isabella and we've been seeing each other on a regular basis ever since.

"A lot of people take to her, she's very affable and well liked."
Stephen said Isabella is "quietly determined" to make to her 100th birthday.
He said: "She can't remember too much of the day (of her Grandma's 100th birthday) but she has a quiet determination to make it to her 100th.
"She doesn't really express it or say it - but she does want to get there."
Isabella will be celebrating her milestone birthday next month at home.
Stephen added: "She wants to stay at home and let people drop in as and when but I think she is definitely determined to have the birthday and get there, have that achievement.
"We've all been wondering what to get her but I'm hoping this, getting in the paper, will make it really special for her."
