A SCOTTISH hotel dating back to 1856 and located next to a train station has been sold to new owners.
Drysdale and Company hailed the sale of The Station Hotel – located in Larbert.
The company said that after nearly 25 years of ownership by John Black, the “iconic” hotel adjacent to Larbert rail station has been acquired by Boota Singh, a “respected local businessman with deep roots in the community”.
Black said: “It’s been a real pleasure being the custodian of The Station Hotel over the past 25 years.
“I want to thank all the wonderful customers who made this possible and wish Boota and his family every success as they continue its legacy.”
The property includes 11 bedrooms on the first floor and features a function room and large beer garden.
The agent said the business is “well-known for its welcoming atmosphere, with a lounge and restaurant serving meals throughout the day”.
Singh is already a well-established businessman as the owner of the award-winning Gulnar Tandoori restaurant.
Stuart Drysdale, director of Drysdale and Company, said: “We are delighted to have facilitated the sale of The Station Hotel and are confident that Mr Singh’s extensive experience in hospitality and strong ties to the community will ensure the continuation of this beloved establishment’s legacy.”
The value of the sale was not disclosed.
