Historic Edinburgh golf club set for unique all-weather simulator pod

An historic Edinburgh Golf Club is to install a unique new all-weather simulator pod for their members.

The City of Edinburgh Council validated the proposal from Baberton Golf Club, at Juniper Green, recently.

The unique golf pods say they allow users the best indoor golf experience, with full swing height and the closest people can get to going outdoors and playing the real thing.

The simulator equipment not only allows users to play a full round of golf in comfort but users can also select to play their game at various courses from across the globe.

The application was made by Urban Pods from Livingston in West Lothian.

They manufacture the pods to their clients specifications and transport them all across the UK.

Urban Pods work in partnership with Bellway and Cala Homes but also take private orders too.

The 18-hole, 70 par, Baberton Golf Club dates back to 1893 and is one of Edinburgh's finest and is renowned for its views of the city.

The City of Edinburgh Council are expected to make a decision on the application in the coming weeks and months.
