An historic golf club is planning to turn a cottage used for laundry on its grounds into staff accommodation to help with future events.
Gullane Golf Club, which has been playing on its East Lothian links for more than 350 years, is one of the most prestigious members clubs in Scotland.
It has applied for planning permission to change the use of the cottage, which sits behinds its clubhouse and is used for laundry and storage, into accommodation for up to four members of staff.

The plans also include creating a new laundry building beside the cottage and replacing the cottage windows with UPVC double glazing.
Niall Young Architecture Ltd said, in a statement to planners, that the cottage, which is off West Links Road, Gullane, was owned by the club.
They said: "It is currently used as storage/laundry services ancillary to the club house.
"The proposal is that the cottage will be used only by staff as accommodation during events held by the golf club. The two bedrooms can sleep a total of four staff."
The application says as well as installing new UPVC double glazed windows in the cottage a new laundry building would be erected next to it with timber wall cladding.
Gullane Golf Club has three separate courses with course No 1 having a long history of hosting national and international championship events, including the 2018 Scottish Open and Ladies Scottish Open, and the 2015 Scottish Open.
