Truck manufacturer Hino Motors Sales (Thailand) has marked its 60th anniversary by reaffirming a balance between technological development and environmental responsibility.
Ken Iwamoto, president of Hino Motors Sales (Thailand), along with Day Yingchol, executive vice-president, and the executive team, presided over the anniversary celebration in a bid to move towards sustainable development goals under the "60 Years Together for Sustainability" theme.
In addition to the executive team, Japan's Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Koichi Hagiuda, and the Japanese Embassy's Minister of Economic Affairs Takuro Tasaka, also delivered congratulatory speeches.
Mr Iwamoto said the company will continue to promote policies that are in line with the sustainable development goals.
"With its commitment to be a driving force towards those goals, Hino is celebrating its anniversary under the '60 Years Together for Sustainability' theme which focuses on conducting a business that creates a balance between technological development and environmental responsibility," he said.
Mr Day said the company has been operating towards that mission ever since its first year in Thailand, by offering trucks and buses that meet the needs of customers. He said that the mission's success had been proven by its sales of 380,000 vehicles over the past 60 years, and by supporting society in every way, directly and indirectly.
He said Hino Motors Sales will focus on a total support solution cycle that focuses attention on the company's customers.
