Shimla/New Delhi: After a spectacular performance in Himachal Pradesh by winning 40 seats in the 68-member Assembly, the Congress has now stepped up the process of government formation there. The Party has called a meeting of Congress Legislators today to discuss various issues including the name of the Legislature Party leader.
Though there are a few names taking rounds for the post of Chief Minister, the name of State President Pratibha Singh is at the forefront.
She is the wife of late Congress veteran Virbhadra Singh who was the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh six times.
Pratibha Singh is at present the Member of Parliament from Mandi.
In this election BJP ended with 25 seats and 3 went to others.
