The Hillsborough Survivors Support Alliance have called for more to be done to stamp out hateful chanting during Liverpool matches.
The call comes on the same night Chelsea condemned chanting about the tragedy that could be heard from home supporters during their side’s 0-0 Premier League draw with the Reds at Stamford Bridge.

“Chelsea FC condemns the inappropriate chants heard from some home fans during this evening’s game,” a Chelsea statement read tonight. “Hateful chanting has no place in football and we apologise to anyone who has been offended by them.”
And reacting on social media to hearing the chants, the Hillsborough Survivors Support Alliance called for more to be done by all clubs to bring an end to the hurtful songs being sung.
“Every match we have to support so many people because of these songs yet nothing is getting done to stamp them out,” their statement read. “More needs to be done from all clubs.”
The Chelsea statement came just days after Manchester City were forced to realise a similar one when their supporters also sung vile chants relating to the Hillsborough disaster.
After tonight's events, the official Liverpool account on Twitter posted: "We know the impact these vile chants have on those who continue to suffer as a result of football tragedies. For their sake, this has to stop."
While the Premier League also released a statement which said: "The Premier League condemns the tragedy chanting heard at tonight’s match between Chelsea and Liverpool. We continue to treat this as an unacceptable issue and are seeking to address it as a priority."
Speaking last year, Ian Byrne MP called on the Premier League to help stamp out chants relating to Hillsborough, saying it has a 'duty of care' to the survivors of the 1989 tragedy.
“These chants and the people behind them shame the game,” he wrote in a letter to Premier League chief Richard Masters.
“Since the events of the UEFA final in Paris we have seen many (Hillsborough) survivors triggered and struggling, tragically three survivors have taken their lives this year alone and two since Paris.
“The Premier League has a duty of care to these supporters and the incessant chanting that is now a weekly occurrence must be tackled at the root causes.”
