Hillhead Road closed after one vehicle crash

A Co Derry road has been closed after a one vehicle crash on Saturday.

Police are advising motorists that the Hillhead Road in Castledawson will be closed on October 29 as they recover the vehicle after the incident.

Local diversions have been put in place in the area at this time.

A spokesperson for the PSNI's Road Policing and Safety team said: "Motorists are advised of a one-vehicle road traffic collision on the Hillhead Road, Castledawson.

"The road will be closed for a time while the vehicle is recovered - local diversions are in place to facilitate this".

Meanwhile, in Co Fermanagh, motorists are advised of an oil spill affecting the Old Junction Road, Irvinestown from Kilskeery and also the Kesh Road out of Irvinestown.

Police have advised that the public exercise caution when driving in the area.
