Hilarious Apex Legends bug is giving heroes the wrong abilities

It wouldn’t be a new season of Apex Legends without some ridiculous glitches yielding belly laughs. That, or seething frustration, depends on who you ask!

There appears to be a bug that gives characters the wrong abilities. Over on r/apexlegends, the official Subreddit, user LiverPoisoningToast shared gameplay footage demonstrating the issue (Thanks, CharlieIntel). You can see that, for whatever reason, Ash suddenly has Loba’s tactical ability. Yes, the killer robot can now teleport around, too — quite a terrifying thought for those of us who can’t stand gap-closing aficionados.

Check out the clip in question below. Hopefully, it’ll get fixed soon cause most people are seething.

The glitch isn’t limited to any one combination of characters, either. Some are getting varieties of Vantage and Newcastle, while one person claimed to have gotten Bangalore spliced with Bloodhound. The latter murder-hunter sounds like something created to send chills down pro’s spines.

Massive, game-breaking glitches coming in Apex Legends updates are par for the course these days. During Season 13, Loba’s teleport was broken for almost two months. Respawn eventually fixed it, but the situation wasn’t pretty. Then there was that whole Xbox input lag mess, which left many fans utterly furious. Heck, there’s even a new patching error that takes some finagling to solve.

Don’t get me wrong, Apex Legends: Hunted is still good fun. The charge rifle, Spitfire, EVA-8, and G7 Scout balance changes are lovely. As is the level cap increase and Kings Canyon revamp. It’s just, you know, better when these things actually work!
