Free agent safety Jevon Holland appears to be a big fan of the Jacksonville Jaguars’ decision to hire Anthony Campanile as their defensive coordinator.
Following the news that Campanile would be joining the Jaguars’ coaching staff, Holland took to Instagram, calling Campanile “one of the best in the business!!”

Before Campanile joined the Packers’ coaching staff for the 2024 season, he was the Miami Dolphins’ linebackers coach from 2020-2023. Holland, of course, has been in Miami since the 2021 season where he was a second-round selection.
Production-wise, Holland took a step back in 2024, but throughout his career he’s proven to be a sound tackler and run defender. He’s also had steady ball production with six interceptions and 13 pass breakups in his first three seasons.
In any defense, the safety position plays an important communication role on the back end, making sure everyone in the secondary is aligned correctly and calling out adjustments pre-snap as needed.
On Pro Football Focus’ free agent big board, Holland is listed as the top safety and the third best player overall.
PFF projects that Holland will earn a four-year – $98 million deal in free agency.
A recent report from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler mentioned that the Jaguars aren’t expected to be huge spenders in free agency, but fortifying the secondary will be important.
Andre Cisco is set to be a free agent and the Jaguars’ pass defense last season was among the worst units in the NFL.
The Jaguars currently have over $35 million in available cap space, which ranks as the 17th-most in the NFL–although they have the means to create more space if needed.
