After resting four of their core pieces in a blowout loss to the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins were back on the floor on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Clippers at San Francisco’s Chase Center.
While Thompson opened the game with another impressive first-quarter performance, Wiggins stole the show as the Warriors cruised to a 124-107 win over the Clippers before Thanksgiving.
Although Wiggins has hit double-figures in scoring in every game of the season, he’s yet to reach the 30-point mark on the 2022-23 season — until Wednesday.
The former No. 1 overall pick recorded a season-high 31 points on 12-of-18 shooting from the field to go along with four boards, two assists and a block with zero turnovers in 32 minutes.
Wiggins also continued his solid stretch from beyond the arc, hitting six triples for the second consecutive game. Wiggins has now drained two or more 3-pointers in his last five games.
During his All-Star campaign in 2021-22, Wiggins only recorded two games with 30 or more points. Through 17 games in 2022-23, the Warriors forward already has one 30-point performance on the board.
