Highlights: Akhilesh Yadav lambasts BJP government in the UP Assembly on many issues

Lucknow: Leader of Opposition Akhilesh Yadav, while addressing the House during the monsoon session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, lambasted the UP government on many issues and raised several questions. Akhilesh Yadav targeted the BJP government on  Manipur-Haryana violence, agriculture, condition of farmers in UP, electricity-water, floods, problems of common man, unemployment, encounters and human rights violations.

Here are the highlights of the speech of former UP CM and Leader of Opposition Akhilesh Yadav on Dynamite News:

1) Caste census is necessary in UP because comprehensive development is possible only after caste census.

2) The incumbent BJP government of Uttar Pradesh is committing maximum violations of human rights.

3) Fake encounters are being frequently done in UP. This is happening on the instigation of the government.

4) It is very sad that the BJP government has rejected the incidents in Manipur and Haryana.

5) There are frequent power breakdowns in the state due to the failure of power transmission lines and transformers. The Chief Minister should tell when will he release funds for installation of new transmission lines and new transformers?

6) The BJP govt is selling the big dream of a one trillion economy. How is one trillion dollar economy possible without the help of farmers and without improving the agricultural sector?

7) The government is deceiving  the farmers by making false promises to double their income. The govt is grabbing their land without giving proper compensation.

8) There was unprecedented flood havoc in UP this time. Government should tell about its long term plan to deal with floods?

9) Many such projects which could bring Uttar Pradesh on the world map, are being stopped by this BJP government.

10) There is hardly any street in Gorakhpur which is not flooded with water. He is the Chief Minister for more than years and is not able to fix the waterlogging even of his own city. How can one expect that he'd be able to control floods in the state.
