Highland Holidays has bought Oban Caravan and Camping Park.
The family-run holiday park operator has already invested £2.5m into the holiday park, with refurbishments and groundwork underway, as well as installation of new lodges, caravans and pods.
Over the next three years, Highland Holidays plans to invest £5m into Oban Holiday Park, based on Gallanachmore Farm, with plans to build a new cafe and takeaway facility, as well as an onsite convenience store.
Highland Holidays already runs the Ben Nevis Holiday Park in Fort William and Tyndrum Holiday Park.
Upon its reopening, Oban Holiday Park will continue to accommodate motorhomes and campers, with improved facilities and new hard standing touring pitches. There will also be new luxury hot tub lodges, as well as new static caravans and hot tub glamping pods.
Premium lodges are also available for private sale in the upcoming months.
Andrew Campbell, director of Highland Holidays, said “We are extremely excited to develop a holiday park in such a unique location in Oban, it’s already a popular park and has huge potential.”
“As a family run business and with two young children of my own, I have always put family values at the heart of what we do.”
Highland Holidays plans to create many local job opportunities in area, including groundwork, reception, housekeeping, maintenance and other roles.
