Pupils from primary one to S1 from schools across Blantyre attended a fun-filled sports holiday camp during the October holiday break.
The children were invited along to the Go Fitba/Multi Sports camp by the Blantyre/Hamilton Active Schools Team in partnership with Blantyre Soccer Academy and Terminal 1 at Calderside Academy, with help from the school's Sports Leadership team of youngsters.
The event was completely free of charge and breakfast was provided each morning for all children.
It was the first time the camp has been delivered in the Blantyre area and proved a huge success with 140 children booking on to the three-day event.
Leslie Scanlan, Active Schools Coordinator, told Lanarkshire Live : "I just wanted to highlight the S6 Sports Leaders who came along to each of the three days to volunteer and assist with delivering the sports sessions.
"The commitment and enthusiasm was fantastic, I can’t praise them highly enough.
"Feedback from the other partners and coordinators was extremely complimentary. The group of pupils are a credit to Calderside Academy and would have them out volunteering with me at any time."
The Calderside Academy pupils involved were: Eva Robertson, Amie McFadyn, Sophie Scott, John McGinty, Keir Fulston, Thomas Caithness, Jenny O'Brien, Cara Boyle, Katie Goodwin, Courtney Rielly, Chantelle Reid, Matthew Reid and Emma Bissett.
