Jadeites meet dim sum, sapphires with steamed fish and pearls with sashimi in a photo exhibition that showcases the pairing of high jewellery with haute cuisine.
The "Illuminating Artisan" exhibition is a collaboration between 15 jewellery brands and eight restaurants at Gaysorn Village in Bangkok.
The sparkling culinary project was conceived under the "Artisan Jewellery x Fine Dining" concept. The chefs selected the finest ingredients and created dishes that harmonise with bejewelled creations, to match the colour of the gemstones and the composition of the pieces.
The exhibition is held on Gaysorn Village's 3rd floor, where Artisan Lane is a shopping destination for fine jewellery by Bussarakam, C.K. Gems Place, Francis Chiu and Pryya, to name a few.
The lifestyle urban village features 28 restaurants under the Artisan Food concept. The eight fine dining restaurants include Michelin-starred Paste and Ginza Sushi Ichi; Omakase restaurants Umi and Ginza Tenharu; and Chinese restaurant Hei Yin.
"Gaysorn Village has hidden gems which are jewellery brands," said executive vice-president Jirath Vattanapataraset. "Restaurants also joined the project, with chefs creating dishes that compare to works of art, just like high jewellery.''
In addition, the art of photography brought out the beauty of the dazzling jewellery and the delectable dishes for the "Illuminating Artisan" exhibition, which runs until Monday.
