Australia second-row Darcy Swain has been cited for a dangerous clear out during yesterday's Bledisloe Cup encounter between Australia and New Zealand that sparked outrage.
Swain appeared to crush Quinn Tupaea's leg whilst the centre was trying to jackal, causing huge damage and subsequently ending the All Black's season. The All Blacks confirmed Tupaea ruptured the medial cruciate ligament in his left knee during the incident.
The Wallaby lock received just a yellow card for his actions, and this decision by Mathieu Raynal was heavily criticised by viewers and pundits.
Former All BlackLima Sopoaga was one of many calling for a lengthy ban for Swain, saying: "Hope there is a lengthy ban for rubbish like this."
Former England No 10 Andy Goode described the foul play as "shocking", while ex Samoa international Junior Poluleuligaga called it a "a dog act".

Swain has since been cited for his actions, and will face a judicial review on Monday.
The Citing Commission deemed the incident worthy of a red card.
"Swain is alleged to have contravened Law 9.11: Players must not do anything that is reckless and dangerous to others, during the match between Australia and New Zealand at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne"
"Upon further review of the match footage, the Citing Commissioner deemed in his opinion the incident had met the Red Card threshold for foul play."
"The Case is to be considered in the first instance by the SANZAAR Foul Play Review Committee which will take place on Monday 19 September via video-conference."
