HIBS have reprimanded Harry McKirdy over his conduct.
The attacker has been warned following backlash to a comment on social media which suggested he'd be open to a return to Swindon Town.
The 25-year-old signed on Deadline Day in August from the League Two outfit.
He has struggled for game time so far at Easter Road, with the vast majority of his appearances coming from the bench. There have also been occasions when he's failed to make the matchday squad.
At the weekend, some Hibs fans were left fuming when McKirdy implied that he was ready to quit the club after only two-months.
A Swindon fan posted: "Time to come back @HarryMcKirdy."
He replied: "Not wrong."
The Scotsman report the 25-year-old was told in no uncertain terms to be careful of future conduct and reminded of the standards expected of him by manager Lee Johnson.
McKirdy has played six times and has yet to score for Hibs.
