Hibs could move for Stuart Findlay as a replacement for Ryan Porteous with Rocky Bushiri also facing a potential absence through injury according to a report.
The Scotland cap and former Kilmarnock man is likely to be allowed to depart English outfit Oxford United this month after dropping out of Karl Robinson's starting XI. He spent a season in the MLS with Philadelphia Union before returning to the UK in July. The 27-year-old was a key part of Steve Clarke's Rugby Park success and he could return north of the border as Lee Johnson looks to bring in new additions say the Scottish Sun.
But he could be forced to make not one but two signings at centre-back after Bushiri was stretchered off in the Edinburgh derby Scottish Cup defeat to Hearts. The club are awaiting news on the extent of his injury but it could force the club into the market. Talk surrounding Porteous has been rife ever since he stated he would not be extending his contract at Easter Road. A number of clubs are said to be keen including Watford and Blackburn Rovers in the English Championship, Serie A outfit Udinese and French Ligue 1 side Toulouse.

The Hibees want to cash in this month to secure a fee for the Scotland international rather than lose him for nothing in the summer. The 23-year-old played in the capital derby defeat to Robbie Neilson's men in what could prove to be his last game for the club.
Recruitment has come under scrutiny in Leith this summer with a number of Johnson's signings not hitting the heights expected. But they could boost the defensive ranks in the shape of Findlay and one other depending on the outcome of Bushiri's injury.
Hibs return to action this weekend to face Aberdeen in the Premiership. Jim Goodwin is under extreme pressure following a 5-0 defeat to Hearts that was followed up with a huge Scottish Cup shock defeat to Darvel last night.
