Martin Boyle's World Cup dream has been given the green light in a major boost following his scan results, according to a report.
The Hibs fans' favourite and key man was forced off during last weekend's Premiership win over St Mirren which left his hopes of a spot in Australia's squad for Qatar 2022 in doubt. He is a cert to be included in Graham Arnold's squad for the global tournament if fit and now according to the Daily Record he WILL be available for selection by the Socceroos boss.
The 29-year-old - who has 19 caps to his name to date - was sent to a specialist in Manchester for further examination on the injury, which will also come as a major relief to club boss Lee Johnson. He will need to play through the pain barrier but that will come as a massive boost to the Australia national team coaching staff ahead of naming the final squad - which is bound to include a number of SPFL stars.

Providing an update on Boyle's injury situation yesterday, Easter Road boss Johnson said: "We are just positive with him, we all live in hope that he’s in a good place.
"He seems to be moving well, although the scan is showing something, it seems, which is why he has gone to the specialist.
“He’s currently in Manchester getting that scan reviewed by a specialist and a consultant. I would hope that by this time on Thursday we will have a clear and acute diagnosis and prognosis on the injury.
“He is presenting well, which gives us a lot of hope. But at the same time we need real expert opinion.”
