Martin Boyle has broken his silence after being ruled out for the season in a major blow to Hibs.
The Hibees star will not feature for the rest of the 2022/23 campaign after needing surgery to repair his ACL. The injury was only discovered when under the knife. It wasn't the news the attacker expected in what has been a rollercoaster of emotions after he was also ruled out of his dream of appearing at the World Cup with Australia.
The Easter Road men confirmed last night that his season was over with Lee Johnson describing his absence for the rest of the campaign as a 'big blow' but he vowed the club will do everything possible to support the 29-year-old and make sure he returns better than ever just like team-mate Kevin Nisbet - who has been out long-term but well on the road to recovery.

Taking to Instagram, Boyle said: “Not the news I expected after an emotional roller coaster of 3 weeks to learn I needed my ACL repaired. Only visible when I needed my op and surgeons done what was best for me.
“I’ve great support around me and I’ve been through it all before and no doubt be back stronger than ever. Thank you for all the best wishes it means a lot!”
Easter Road gaffer Johnson told the club website: "It has been a tough few weeks for Martin and we are all gutted for him.
“Now, it’s up to us to rally around him and make sure we support him on every level throughout his recovery.
“Short term – it is a big blow for us, but we will do everything we can to support Martin to make sure he comes back fitter, stronger and a better player than before, just like Kevin Nisbet has shown in his recovery."
