Hibs got their Scottish Premiership campaign off to the perfect start with a win over St Johnstone and Lee Johnson will hope to continue that momentum on derby day.
There has been an overhaul at Easter Road following Johnson's appointment after the ill-fated Shaun Maloney era, which ended with the Leith men finishing 16 points adrift of their city rivals Hearts. Robbie Neilson's men have European football to look forward to while it's been a rebuild for Johnson in the green half of the capital.
A win would round off a great with for the Hibs' diehards after the club secured the sensational return for Martin Boyle after Al-Faisaly. The Edinburgh side had been working on a deal to bring the club hero back to Leith following his big-money departure for Saudi Arabia back in January and got it over the line. The Australia cap won't be in the squad for the game, but he will be unveiled in front of a packed Easter Road.
Boyle will be desperate to reclaim his starting spot, and that will put the Hibs' attackers on alert going into the derby. Elias Melkersen will be among those looking over his shoulder following the return of the 29-year-old, and will be looking to find the net to secure his spot.
Jair Tavares will miss out as he serves a ban carried over from Portugal, which could see Christian Doidge offered a chance. Lewis Stevenson and Demetri Mitchell are also both out. Paul Hanlon could be back as an option for Johnson.
