Hibs provide injury update on FIVE stars including Aiden McGeady, Rocky Bushiri and Martin Boyle

Hibs have provided an injury update on FIVE key players.

Martin Boyle, Rocky Bushiri, Kyle Magennis, Aiden McGeady and Joe Newell are currently all sidelined for Lee Johnson's men as they bid to reach the top six and secure a place in Europe next season. Only four games are left until the top and bottom six are determined with the capital club just two points clear in the chase for the top half.

The top end of the table is very tight with the Easter Road side sitting five points behind rivals Hearts in the chase for third and just one point off Aberdeen in fourth. The capital club are set to be boosted by Newell returning to full training on Monday after being ruled out since early February.

Magennis faces up to four weeks out with a pelvic issue while Rocky Bushiri is making excellent progress behind the scenes and has already started running drills in the gym at HTC. If he keeps it up he is set to be out on the pitch next week with the medical team who have set a four to five week return timeframe.

Boyle has been granted permission to travel to Australia as the 'Chief Vibes Officer' and will continue his fine progress with the Socceroos' medical department. He hasn't suffered any fresh setbacks or issues with a target of a return to the fold by the summer.

Big summer signing McGeady is progressing through his hamstring injury. His surgery was as success and will continue to work with medical staff on his rehab plan with no indication or timeframe given on a potential return to the pitch.
