Hibs No2 Jamie McAllister has revealed the lengths Kyle Magennis and Kevin Nisbet are going to during their rehab from long-term injuries.
The Easter Road pair have been sidelined for lengthy periods but are working hard behind the scenes to get themselves back fit and firing for Lee Johnson's side. Midfielder Magennis has been out for 11 months, but he was able to take part in a small passing drill with the group on Thursday.
The 23-year-old and team-mate Nisbet are putting in the graft with the duo taking on double and even sometimes triples sessions at a time. It is positive news for the midfielder but McAllister has stressed the club need to be careful not to overload him. Speaking to Edinburgh Evening News, he said: “It has been tough for him, he has worked so hard. He and [Kevin Nisbet] have been doing double, even triple sessions at times, so for him to join in on Thursday with a little passing drill was brilliant.
“But he’s still a bit away and we need to be careful with him, we don’t want to rush him back.
“When you see him on the grass, he is all action and you think he’s ready, but we have got to be gentle with him and bring him back slowly so he doesn’t break down again.
