Hibs learn new fixture date for Ross County fixture as SPFL agree to Easter Road request

Hibs' clash with Ross County next month in the Premiership has been moved forward a day from November 9th to the 8th.

This is at the request of both clubs as the Hibees build towards November's World Cup break, where they will be out of action for a month while the tournament takes place in Qatar. Martin Boyle is a near certainty to head out with Australia alongside former Easter Road striker Jason Cummings pushing for a place.

It was only last week that manager Lee Johnson guided his side to victory over the Staggies, who were thrashed 5-0 by Hibs' weekend opponents Motherwell on Tuesday. Ryan Porteous and Boyle goals sealed three points and sets the Hibees up nicely for a crack at the Steelmen this Saturday. Kick-off for the rearranged fixture in Edinburgh is still 7:45pm and it will be the home side's final game in the city pre-break.

Meanwhile, midfielder Kyle Magennis is looking to keep fit and healthy after completing his comeback to full fitness following a tough spell out through injury.

He's missed most of this season so far, but told Hibs TV: "It's been difficult. I have been injured twice, came back from my groin injury, then did damage to my knee on my first bounce game back.

"It is tough to take but I have a good family behind me. All my teammates and all the staff here have been brilliant with me."
