Hibernian are interested in signing Heart of Midlothian goalkeeper Zander Clark.
The keeper, 32, is out of contract at Tynecastle next summer and is free to speak to interested parties about a pre-contract as of January 1.
Suggestions surfaced online that Clark could be set to make the jump across Edinburgh to Hearts' bitter city rivals.
And it's understood that there is concrete interest from the Easter Road club.
The Scotland international had been the No.1 in Gorgie for the past two years.
However, Clark has made just two appearances so far this season after the re-emergence of the fit-again Craig Gordon.
He joined Hearts in 2022 after he left St Johnstone upon the expiry of his contract at McDiarmid Park.
Goalkeeper has been a problem position for Hibs so far this season. A number of high-profile errors made by Josef Bursik resulted in David Gray replacing the on-loan Club Brugge 'keeper with back-up shot-stopper Jordan Smith, and the former Nottingham Forest man has contributed to the Easter Road side's turnaround in form.
Smith appears to be the first choice as things stand, but it would seem that finding a new No.1 is high on the club's transfer priorities.
