Hibs facing goalkeeper conundrum as Kevin Dabrowski suffers 'substantial' shoulder injury blow

Hibs have confirmed that Kevin Dabrowski will be missing for 'at least' a couple of months after picking up a shoulder injury.

The goalkeeper has injured shoulder ligaments during a training ground clash ahead of their Premiership match with St Mirren this weekend. It's a blow for the stopper who has acted as deputy to veteran number one David Marshall so far this term, as he faces a race against time to be fit again before November's break for the World Cup.

A statement on Dabrowski from Hibs reads: "Unfortunately Kevin Dabrowski has been ruled out for a substantial period of time through injury. The 24-year-old damaged the ligaments in his shoulder after a collision in training.

"Subsequent scans have revealed that he will be unavailable for selection for, at least, a couple of months. Kevin will now work closely with the Club’s medical department to ensure he returns back to fitness as quickly as possible."

There had been more positive news surrounding Kyle Magennis as he returned to work on the grass after a frustrating time with injury.

Demetri Mitchell has an ankle problem and will be going for a scan to find out what is needed to help solve that problem.

It's been a busy summer as new boss Lee Johnson moulds the team in his image, and last weekend they drew 2-2 with Rangers at Easter Road.
