The Scottish Sun say that Lee Johnson is keen on a reunion with the former Celtic star for next season.
The new Easter Road gaffer worked with the winger during his time at Sunderland and is a big fan.

McGeady is set to leave the Stadium of Light following their promotion to the English Championship after defeating Wycombe at Wembley.
Johnson previously described the Republic of Ireland international as 'top drawer' during his time in charge at Sunderland and could now make a move to bring him back to Scotland.
McGeady has confirmed he wants to continue playing and he would offer Hibs a wealth of experience as Johnson continues his summer recruitment drive.
He said: “Will I still be at Sunderland? I honestly don’t know. I still want to play, I just don’t know where it will be.
“I doubt it will be at Sunderland. I have enjoyed my time here. If it’s come to an end, so be it.”
Hibs face competition to land McGeady with former midfielder and Celtic hero Scott Brown reportedly keeping tabs over a potential switch to his new Fleetwood Town side.
