The afternoon tea is £30 per person and includes tea or coffee, however, those wanting to upgrade with prosecco or cocktails can do so for an additional charge.

Ower Stevie Pattinson said he hopes the afternoon tea will be a hit with customers and said it would be a great option for those looking to celebrate the King's Coronation on Saturday, May 6.

"We are going to start doing the afternoon tea from May 3," he said.

"It is something that we have been thinking about for a long time and feel that now we're coming into the summer it is a great time to start. It is a classic afternoon tea and everything is made in-house by our team.

"I hope that people will give it a go and I am sure that there will be some people coming along for the Coronation as well."

Restaurant manager Amy Corriea said the team was excited to be launching the afternoon tea menu led by head chef Neil Jefferson.

"Whether you’re out with friends and family or celebrating a baby shower, hen do or as a special gift; it is the perfect way to enjoy a leisurely afternoon," she said.

"You can opt for the traditional accompaniment of English teas, or enhance your experience with a glass of fizz to celebrate or simply hype up the atmosphere."

The afternoon tea is available from Wednesday to Friday from 2.30pm to 5pm.
