Hezbollah Launches Explosive Drones On Israeli Village

Israeli forces launch a ground and air operation in the eastern part of Rafah

The Israeli military reported that Hezbollah militants in Lebanon carried out an attack on the Druze Arab village of Hurfeish in northern Israel on Wednesday evening. At least two explosive unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were launched, resulting in injuries to nine individuals. The Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya treated the victims, with one woman sustaining moderate to serious injuries to her abdomen and chest.

While the Israeli army has not disclosed the identities of the injured, Reuters revealed that among them were soldiers. Video footage captured by the agency showed emergency responders evacuating wounded soldiers from the scene. In one clip, a paramedic was seen carrying a conscious Israeli soldier, who appeared to be in stable condition, toward an ambulance.

An eyewitness account described how a second self-detonating drone struck as medical personnel were attending to those hurt in the initial attack. Anwar Maer, the head of the Hurfeish municipality, recounted the chaotic scene as responders were suddenly faced with another UAV threat.

Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for the assault, which occurred amidst heightened tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border. The Israeli military reported that approximately 30 rockets and drones were launched from Lebanon toward Israel on Wednesday. In response, Israeli fighter jets targeted various Hezbollah positions, including terrorist infrastructure in Naqoura and Matmoura, military structures in Ayta ash Shab, and an observation post in Khiam.
