Israel has reported that one of Hezbollah's top commanders in southern Lebanon was killed in Israeli strikes on Tuesday. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated on Wednesday that the commander, Talib Sami Abdulla, was responsible for numerous attacks against Israeli civilians over the course of several years.
Hezbollah has confirmed Talib's death, along with the deaths of three other fighters. In response to the assassination of Talib, the militant group launched over 200 rockets towards Israel on Wednesday. The attacks were carried out in the village of Jouya, according to Hezbollah.
