Israel has accused Hezbollah of launching around 230 projectiles from Lebanon into Israeli territory on Thursday. In response, Hezbollah claimed to have carried out 32 attacks, including rocket salvos on Israeli settlements and military bases, as well as targeting Israeli soldiers conducting ground operations in southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah was not the only Iran-backed group involved in attacks on Israel that day. The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a coalition of various Iran-backed militias, also claimed responsibility for a drone strike in southern Israel.
The Israeli military reported intercepting a drone over southern Israel, averting any injuries or damage. These incidents mark a concerning escalation in tensions between Israel and Iran-backed groups in the region.
