Gary Vee: The biggest voice in NFTs.

Gary Vee describes himself as a “purebred entrepreneur,” claiming he made his start at seven years old with a lemonade stand. He is also an early innovator in leveraging the power of emerging social media platforms. In 2006, Gary Vee launched WineLibraryTV, one of the first long-format episodic informational series on YouTube, and transformed his father’s business into a national enterprise with $60 million in revenue.

In 2008, Gary Vee signed a 10-book deal with publisher HarperCollins. His first book, “Crush It!” was an international bestseller. He became a hustle-culture darling, dispensing brotherly advice and quotable nuggets of entrepreneurial wisdom, while making adept use of Instagram and other platforms to increase his following.

Then Gary Vee discovered NFTs, the convivial mass communicator found a new passion. Already an avid collector of baseball cards, Gary was introduced to NBA Top Shots – this began Vaynerchuk’s love for NFTs. Based on his own hand-drawn sketches, the NFT series VeeFriends has remained a top 10 NFT project since its launch in 2021. Gary views VeeFriends not only as a salable product, but also as a way to establish his own IP, which he can build into an empire.

In an interview with the NFT Nick Show, Vaynerchuk said: “I can spend the next 40 years of my life evolving those doodles with the single ambition to build something as big as Disney. And, if I end up building the Smurfs instead of Disney, well, then it’s going to be a good decision.”

Gary’s impact on the NFT space extends beyond his VeeFriends and VeeFriends 2.0 NFT series. Gary co-founded VaynerMedia in 2009 with his younger brother AJ Vaynerchuk, which was listed as #5 on AdAge’s top agency list in 2022. In 2021, VaynerMedia launched VaynerNFT, which this year became Vayner3, a Web3-focused agency that has done NFT and metaverse activations for global brands. Gary’s vision and passion for NFTs and the metaverse would make him a great addition to Benzinga's December events.

Tickets for both events are still available! Click on the following links to attend the gatherings and to hear from some of the most extraordinary individuals in the space at this December’s Future of Crypto and Fintech Awards events.
