Tottenham star Heung-min Son has again been shut out of end-of-season recognition after failing to make the PFA Premier League team of the season.
The South Korean scored 23 league goals this season, matching Mohamed Salah's tally though without a single penalty compared to the Egyptian's five, to become the first Asian player to win the Golden Boot award.
However his best-ever season was not enough to be nominated for the Players' Player of the Year award, with Kevin De Bruyne, Sadio Mane, Virgil van Dijk, Cristiano Ronaldo and Spurs team-mate Harry Kane making up the shortlist.
Kane is also missing from the team of the season as player of the year Salah is joined by Mane and Ronaldo in attack.
Ronaldo was one of Manchester United's standout performers in a miserable season - David De Gea was named the club's player of the year - but score five goals fewer than Son.
It is the third snub in as many weeks for Son, who was also missing from the PFA Fans' Player of the Year award nominees.
The PFA Player of the Year is chosen by members of the PFA, making it the only is the only footballing award voted on by players.
