Heung-min Son revealed his frustration to be brought off in the second-half by Antonio Conte against Arsenal.
Tottenham beat their north London rivals 3-0 to move to within a point of the Gunners, taking the fight for Champions League football into the final two games of the season.
Son scored his side’s third just after the break, taking his Premier League tally to 21 goals for the season and he now sits just one behind Mohamed Salah in the race for the Golden Boot.
With the match already wrapped up, Conte brought Son off with 20 minutes remaining and the Spurs forward made his thoughts clear to see as he bemoaned the decision on his way off.
Son continued his frustrations while sitting on the bench and when asked about the incident after the match, he admitted he was annoyed by the call but understood why Conte did it.
“It was the gaffer’s decision and I need to accept it,” Son told Sky Sports.
“He says we have an important game on Sunday, so that’s why. At the moment I am not angry but disappointed, but I move on.
“I just wanted to keep playing but when I look back we have an important game on Sunday and I have to recover and be fresh.”
