Shocked onlookers quickly phoned the fire brigade for assistance, with four calls being made by concerned members of the public shortly before 12.25pm on Monday afternoon.
The quiet area was being enjoyed by dog walkers on their lunch breaks as they went for a sunny stroll only to be met by the scary sight. The fire broke out just metres away from The Dog Day Care Centre, where dozens of dogs were being looked after while their owners were at work.
A crew then arrived at the scene shortlt before 12.50pm and was able to dampen the blaze, safely getting it under control without any injuries.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: "It was a derelict caravan. We received four calls, the first of which was at 12.24pm this afternoon. The crew arrived by 12.47 and they were able to dampen the caravan down."
