The family of a 13-year-old boy who died after being hit by a car in Croxteth called him "the class clown" who "loved his family and friends".
Harry Kinney-Ryan was hit by a silver Vauxhall Astra Estate on East Lancashire Road, close to the Showcase Cinema, at 7.25pm on Wednesday, December 7. Harry was rushed to Alder Hey Children's Hospital in a critical condition where he died of his injuries two days later.
A 34-year-old man was arrested following the incident and has been bailed pending further enquiries. Harry's family has now issued a loving tribute to the teenager who died a month shy of his 14th birthday.

His family said: "Harry was a loving and caring boy who loved his family and friends. He always made those around him laugh and was definitely the class clown. Harry will be deeply missed by all of his family, especially his sisters. Everyone will have their own memories of Harry and this is how we want his memory to live on.
"We cannot thank our family and friends enough for all of their support and kind words. We would also like to thank all of the amazing staff at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital who took such amazing care of Harry. Goodnight and God bless - we love you so much."
His mum Liz Ryan had earlier said in a Facebook post that they had chosen for Harry to be an organ donor. She added: "As it stands my baby is a hero. So as he grew up wishing to be a superhero my boy got exactly what he wanted."
Detective Sergeant Andy Roper, from Merseyside Police 's Matrix Serious Investigation Collision Unit, said: "Our thoughts and sympathies remain with Harry’s family and friends. His family continue to be supported by specially trained family liaison officers.
"Enquiries into the collision remain ongoing. I would appeal for any drivers who were travelling east or westbound along the East Lancashire Road near the Showcase cinema at around 7.20pm on December 7 to get in touch if they believe they have dash cam footage which could assist our investigation."
A fundraiser was set up for the family following Harry's death. At the time of publication the fundraiser had raised over £10,000.
Anyone who witnessed the crash, or who may have dashcam footage, is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 0151 777 5747, email SCIU@merseyside.police.uk, or DM @MerPolTraffic on Twitter quoting reference 22000902647.
