Three nine-year-old's including a heroic Nashville girl who died trying to ring a fire alarm to stop an evil school shooter have been named and pictured.
The Covenant School pupils Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs and William Kinney have been pictured for the first time after they were shot dad by mass killer Audrey Hale, 28, on Monday.
Evelyn was today hailed a hero after it emerged she was shot while trying to pull the fire alarm to protect others, and in a bid to stop Hale from opening fire on her classmates and teachers.
She was described as a "shinning light" as the family revealed they are "completely broke" by their daughter's death.
The heartbroken family of Evelyn Dieckhaus released a statement, which reads: “Our hearts are completely broken. We cannot believe this has happened.
"Evelyn was a shining light in this world. We appreciate all the love and support but ask for space as we grieve.“
William Kinney's friends set-up a GoFundMe fundraiser for their family to help pay for funeral costs.
They paid tribute to the 9-year-old who was described as "unfailingly kind and gentle."
Organiser Rachael Freitas wrote: "Our friends are walking through the unimaginable...losing their son at the Covenant School shooting.
"Will had an unflappable spirit. He was unfailingly kind, gentle when the situation called for it, quick to laugh, and always inclusive of others.
"He loved his sisters, adored his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and was always excited to host friends of every age.
"Sweet Will knew no strangers, and our hearts our broken for his family as they try to find their way forward."
Friends and family posted tributes to Will who have been left heartbroken at the 9-year-old's death.
Patrice Tuzo wrote: "My heart is saddened for your tragic loss. Praying Jesus will carry you through. My deepest sympathies to your whole family!"
And Carol Vogt said: "I have no words but sending love and support to you."
9-year-old Haile Scruggs was the daughter of Mr Scruggs, the senior pastor at Covenant Presbyterian Church.
The adults killed were identified as Cynthia Peak, 61, a substitute teacher, Mike Hill, 61, a janitor, and Katherine Koonce, 60, who was the head of the school.
The headteacher was described as a "saint" by one parent who said she went out her way to help the children.
They told the BBC: "She did so much for those kids. And now gave her life protecting them. She knew every single student by name.
"She did everything to help them when families couldn't afford things, it didn't matter. She found ways for them to stay."
Hale, who was shot dead by police, had a detailed map of the school, including potential entry points before the shooting, according to officers.
Authorities also described Hale as a "lone zealot", who had written a manifesto ahead of the attack.
