A hero garda disarmed a knife-wielding thug after another man was stabbed multiple times at a home in Drimnagh.
Gardai found the two men, who are both in there 20s, in a residence in Drimnagh yesterday. The injured man was found lying on the floor while the other was holding a large knife.
Uniformed gardai arrested the man with the knife after a physical struggle in which they managed to disarm him. He is being held in Crumlin Garda Station.

Thankfully, the injured man suffered non life threatening injuries and is being treated in St James' Hospital. A garda spokesman said: "Gardai are investigating an alleged assault which occurred at a residence in Drimnagh, Dublin 12 on Wednesday, 18th January 2023."
"Gardai arrived to the scene shorty before 10.30pm. At the scene, they observed an injured man lying on the floor and another man brandishing a large knife.
"Following a physical struggle between the man and the uniformed Gardai, the man was successfully disarmed and arrested by two unarmed Garda members. The man, aged in his 20s, was arrested under Section 3 of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, 1997 and was taken Crumlin Garda Station where is currently detained."
He added: "The injured man (20s) received a number of apparent stab wounds and was later taken to St James’ Hospital for treatment. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. No other injuries have been reported."
