Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce was supposed to be joined by a teammate when he hosted “Saturday Night Live.”
Creed Humphrey had teased that he was set to join Kelce on “SNL” when the star tight end hosted the show on Saturday, March 4. Faithful fans who watched the full hour and 42-minute runtime would find that Humphrey didn’t actually make an appearance in the sketch comedy show. So, what gives?
No, Humphrey’s tease wasn’t some sort of elaborate ruse. He was set to appear on the show, but the pre-recorded sketch that he taped was among the four that were cut from the episode.
According to SNL Standby Line podcast, the following four sketches were cut from Kelce’s episode:
- Science Museum
- Camp Reunion
- Cartoon Pitch
- NFL Gives Back (pretape)
Humphrey was featured in the NFL Gives Back sketch along with Kelce’s older brother Jason. Typically, pretaped sketches that get cut are shared online by “SNL” and they wasted no time getting NFL Gives Back out to the fans. Minutes after the episode ended, they shared it on their social channels.

What do you think, Chiefs Kingdom? Should this sketch have made it into the show over some of the other ones?
